Greg Kinnear

Greg Kinnear is an Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award® winner who has delighted audiences and critics alike with a career filled with diverse and fascinating roles in both film and television. He has starred in critically acclaimed films including AS GOOD AS IT GETS, YOU’VE GOT MAIL, and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, for which the cast won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. His 1997 breakout role in AS GOOD AS IT GETS earned him an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe nomination, and also earned him a Best Supporting Actor award from the National Board of Review. With his performance of John F. Kennedy in THE KENNEDYS, Greg earned an Emmy Award and SAG Award nomination. In 2012, his guest-starring role on the ABC hit series MODERN FAMILY earned him another Emmy nomination for his comedic work. Most recently, Greg has been working on BRIGSBY BEAR, LITTLE MEN, the HBO film CONFIRMATION, and his soon-to-be released feature directorial debut, THE PHILOSOPHY OF PHIL. Other projects include MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN and INVINCIBLE. Greg lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three daughters.

Renée Zellweger is an Academy Award®-winning actor known as one of the most respected actors in modern cinema. She earned her Oscar Award for her 2003 performance in COLD MOUNTAIN, for which she also won a Golden Globe Award and awards from SAG, BAFTA, Broadcast Film Critics Association, and numerous others. Her breakout role came opposite Tom Cruise in JERRY MAGUIRE. Renée is well known for her roles in BRIDGET JONES’S DIARY and the sequel BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON. Her feature debut came in DAZED AND CONFUSED, which led to numerous other films, including REALITY BITES. Her second Academy Award nomination came from her role as the convicted killer Roxie Hart in CHICAGO, the 2002 Oscar-winning film version of the Tony-winning musical. The role garnered her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Comedy or Musical, as well as a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. Other projects include the acclaimed ONE TRUE THING, WHITE OLEANDER, DOWN WITH LOVE, and CINDERELLA MAN. Djimon Hounsou

Djimon Hounsou is a two-time Academy Award®-nominated actor best known for his roles in BLOOD DIAMOND, GLADIATOR, and Steven Spielberg’s AMISTAD. Djimon was born in Benin, West Africa and immigrated to Paris when he was 13 to pursue a Western education. After being discovered by the fashion and modeling world, he began his acting career with his breakout role in AMISTAD. Since then, Djimon has appeared in and voiced numerous films including IN AMERICA, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2, THE ISLAND, THE TEMPEST, ERAGON, CONSTANTINE, TOMB RAIDER, THE FOUR FEATHERS, KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD, and THE LEGEND OF TARZAN. His numerous television appearances include WAYWARD PINES, ER, and ALIAS. Djimon is also producing and developing a slate of feature films and documentaries via his company, Fanaticus Entertainment. He has a desire and commitment to better Africa by using his accumulated knowledge and influence to help stories from the continent be heard. Djimon is an ambassador for Oxfam, appeared before the U.S. Senate on behalf of the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act and received an NAACP Image Award for his work.

In his career, Jon has received four Academy Award® nominations and eleven Golden Globe® Award nominations. Jon currently stars on the critically acclaimed Showtime series RAY DONOVAN as Mickey Donovan, for which he recently won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series at the Golden Globe® Awards. A standout performer and role model at just 19, Olivia Holt has established herself as one of Hollywood’s women to watch. With a global campaign as the face for Neutrogena, Olivia continues to build a following with her girl-next-door looks, her positive message, and a charming personality. Olivia has starred in her own Disney TV series, KICKIN’ IT, and is signed to Hollywood Records, having released her debut EP, Olivia. She currently is working on the Marvel series CLOAK AND DAGGER, which is expected to launch in 2018. Olivia has had lead roles in two offbeat, indie comedies: CLASS RANK and THE STAND OFF. Her millennial comedy STATUS UPDATE, in which she stars opposite Ross Lynch, is also set to be released later this year. Born in Tennessee and raised in Mississippi, Olivia got her start at the age of 3 when her parents saw the passion and love she had for entertaining. After signing with her first agent, she quickly began booking commercials with national spots including Mattel and Hasbro. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 13.

Austin Filson began his acting career at age 13 in Charlotte, N.C. After filming a few commercials, music videos, and movies, Austin moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting dreams. Austin has landed roles in the television series SLEEPY HOLLOW, THE GOLDBERG’S, and LADY DYNAMITE. A SAG member, he also has wrapped up filming on TELL ME YOUR NAME and CHASING GRACE. Austin is eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming feature film SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME, playing the son of Renée Zellweger and Greg Kinnear. Austin resides in Los Angeles and loves spending time with Maui, his German Shepard/Husky mix.  He also enjoys going to the beach, surfing, hiking, fishing, and biking.

Michael Carney

Director and Screenwriter

Michael Carney is a producer, writer, and director. He also serves as a partner at Inception Films. Michael adapted the bestselling book Same Kind Of Different As Me as a screenplay. The adaptation is based on a true story chronicling an unlikely friendship between a wealthy art dealer struggling to save his marriage and a drifter living on the streets. The film marks his feature directorial debut and stars Greg Kinnear, Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou, Jon Voight, and Olivia Holt. Michael executive produced the film alongside Alex Foard. Additionally, he has written screenplays for ODD MAN OUT: A YEAR ON THE MOUND WITH A MINOR LEAGUE MISFIT and AMERICAN JUNKIE. He is also attached to direct, produce, and write THIRTY EIGHT, currently in pre-production with Foxtail Entertainment.
